Mark making with a selection of my top up objects. For this activity I used only ink. Most of my objects: pine cones, a pineapple top, tree bark, cassava skin; had very rough surfaces. By observing the objects I chose the surfaces I wanted to use. They produced rough looking marks, with an earthy, spiky, organic look.
I tried to get this earthy spikiness into my mark making.
